Walk on 7th February 2010

Meet at 10am on the bridge by the Arun View in Littlehampton. You should be able to park in Ferry Road/Rope Walk on the west side of the bridge, or possibly in Littlehampton Railway Station car park (most railway station car parks are free on Sundays, but do check). The walk will be about 8¾ miles.

Walk on 17th January

Sunday 17th January 2010: Meet at 10.00am in the Fletchers Croft Car Park in Steyning (next to the Steyning Centre). To find the car park, go down the main street (High Street) in Steyning and at a mini-roundabout turn into Church Street – if you come from Washington this will be on your left, if you come from Shoreham it will be on your right. As you go down Church Street, follow the road round to the right and on the right-hand side you will see the car park. This will be a circular walk of about 7¼ miles going up onto the Downs. Don’t forget to bring a packed lunch and a drink.

Saturday 12th December 2009: Meet at 10.00am at the east end of Crossbush Lane cul de sac, accessed only from Crossbush village by the Crossbush Hotel on the A27 near Arundel. The walk will be about 8¼ miles with not too many hills. Don’t forget to bring a packed lunch and a drink.

Starting point: Meet in the Downslink car park at West Grinstead, on the A272 just over a mile east of the traffic lights where the A272 meets the A24, grid reference TQ184225. As you travel east along the A272 you will pass a restaurant which used to be a Little Chef (I don't know what it is now). Immediately after passing it you will be going around a bend to the left and on this bend you will see an entrance on the left to a short drive leading to the car park.

Walk on 19th October

Starting point: Meet in the road outside the Ricardo factory which is on the west side of the old Shoreham toll bridge, grid reference TQ204060. First there will be a 50 minute stroll by the river and the houseboats, returning over the newly refurbished toll bridge which was built in 1781. After a coffee break back at the cars comes the “real walk”, a 7 mile circular up onto the Downs for some panoramic views of the river.
